Dowis academy

Dowis Academy is a collective of artists following the legacy of Alex Dowis – a pioneer of Light Art in the Czech Republic.
We specialize in exceptional performances for large and prestigious events, where the power of light, movement, music, and emotion merges into one unforgettable experience.

Our goal is to create unique Light Art shows, where several artists perform together on one stage – usually two, but depending on the concept and scale of the project, even three or four artists can create simultaneously.
Through this collaboration, breathtaking visual stories come to life right before the audience’s eyes.

Each performance carries a deep message, offering not only a striking visual experience but also an emotional reflection on humanity, our values, and our relationship with planet Earth.

Within Dowis Academy, we also offer the possibility to create tailor-made performances – shaping the story, theme, and visual style to fit a specific event, brand, or message. Our art transforms even the most abstract ideas into a language of light and emotion.

The first and leading members of the academy are David and Lukas, who represent this unique art form at festivals, private events, and talent shows around the world.

Lightformers

Lightformers brings together the first generation of artists trained by Alex Dowis. David and Lukas known from their appearance on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent: Unseen are the pioneers of this new creative movement. Their collaboration with Alex sets the foundation for bold, innovative light‑art performances. When more artists step onto the stage, the show transforms into a living organism: faster, more dynamic, and visually explosive. Multiple performers allow the light to move in layers, collide, and expand into complex scenes that a single artist could never create alone. The result is a powerful, immersive experience where timing, teamwork, and creativity merge into a vibrant, high‑energy spectacle that pulls the audience into the story.
